Established in 1954, Auto Photo Canada Ltd is Canada's leading operator of automatic photo booths. We have been operating photo booths across the country for over 50 years, and are the only company in Canada specializing solely in Photo Booths. In addition we are one of the oldest operators of photo booths in North America and the world.
We began our operations in Canada with a national contract in the Woolworth's chain of stores, operating the classic black and white photo booths. This continued until the early 1990's with the demise of the Woolworths chain. Other notable events that we participated in included the Expo 67 world fair in Montreal, various movie productions including Superman, and more recently the 2005 Juno awards.
Over the years our business has evolved and the appearance of our photo booths have changed with the times. Technology has also changed, moving from black and white to color in the mid 1970's, and more recently to digital. Our booths have changed in both design and technology over the years, and there is still a great demand for our products by consumers of all ages.
The digital revolution has changed the face of photography, and a new generation of photo booths has arrived on the market. We continue as the leader in this field by offering only the best in digital technology with some of our current products such as the Portrait Studio and the Viso. We operate a wide selection of different photo booths, so that we are able to provide our customers with the right product mix for every location.
